RSPCA West Dorset Branch is a separate charity affiliated to the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA).  We cover the towns of Dorchester, Bridport, Weymouth, Portland, Lyme Regis, Charmouth, Sherborne and Axminster (Devon) as well as all the surrounding villages and hamlets.  Our main priorities are the welfare and rehoming of local animals.  We raise our funds within the Branch boundaries and all money raised is spent within the area.  We are responsible for "Taylors Animal Rehoming Centre" at Kingston Maurward, Dorchester.

If you wish to report an Animal Emergency or have concerns regarding the welfare of an animal please telephone 0300 1234 999.  Please also call this number if you need to have an unowned or wild animal collected by an RSPCA Animal Collection Officer.

PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL US REGARDING EMERGENCIES OR CRUELTY AS THIS IS NOT THE MOST EFFICIENT WAY OF DEALING WITH SUCH MATTERS.  CALL 0300 1234 999 AND REPORT THE MATTER TO THE RSPCA NATIONAL CALL CENTRE.  THANK YOU.

Hi our names are Cara, Laura and Lauren, and we are the  Animal Care staff who look after the cats and kittens.

These are the animals in our care this week.  Please give us a call 01305 259672 or visit the Centre at the above times if you are interested in any.

We take in and rehome animals that other charities don't - such as older cats and cats with health issues, but we do rely on you to rehome them.  So pop to the Centre you never know what is waiting to greet you!

Our adoption fee for a cat or kitten is £75.   This includes neutering of animals of 12 weeks or over, vaccination course and microchipping, as well as a vet check and parasite control.

**RURAL RETIREMENT HOME REQUIRED**

SHILLING DSH ginger & white male approx.. 19 yrs old.  Could you offer this lovely boy a home?  He does not act his age he is super friendly and wants to spend he days exploring and being with people as he loves a fuss.  He came the centre via the inspector as he had been abandoned, he has obviously suffered from cat flu in the past and this has left him with “noisy” breathing, he is on a maintenance dose of steroids to help with this.  He had lived on a farm all of his life, so would like a rural location where he can roam, but come in the house when he wants.  He loves his food and all the attention and cuddles he can get.

If you think you could be the retirement home that Shilling deserves do gives us a call 01305 259672

**SPECIAL HOME REQUIRED**

FREYA is a 10 yr old Tortie & White female who needs a very special home. She came to us after living in a hoarders home and never being outside before or meeting any-one. She was very frightened when she first arrived but has now learnt to trust just a handful of people.

Freya is a sweet loving playful girl, she just has to warm to you. She loves her food and adores a head scratch. Freya would need a very quiet home with an enclosed garden. No visiting children and not too many visitors until she is really settled.

She is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Please contact the centre on 01305 259672 if you think you may have the home for Freya.
