RSPCA West Dorset Branch is a separate charity affiliated to the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA).  We cover the towns of Dorchester, Bridport, Weymouth, Portland, Lyme Regis, Charmouth, Sherborne and Axminster (Devon) as well as all the surrounding villages and hamlets.  Our main priorities are the welfare and rehoming of local animals.  We raise our funds within the Branch boundaries and all money raised is spent within the area.  We are responsible for "Taylors Animal Rehoming Centre" at Kingston Maurward, Dorchester.

If you wish to report an Animal Emergency or have concerns regarding the welfare of an animal please telephone 0300 1234 999.  Please also call this number if you need to have an unowned or wild animal collected by an RSPCA Animal Collection Officer.

PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL US REGARDING EMERGENCIES OR CRUELTY AS THIS IS NOT THE MOST EFFICIENT WAY OF DEALING WITH SUCH MATTERS.  CALL 0300 1234 999 AND REPORT THE MATTER TO THE RSPCA NATIONAL CALL CENTRE.  THANK YOU.

Your donation will help us to keep caring for animals like Beattie

It was really touch and go for Beattie; when he came to Taylors he was anaemic from having fleas and was just 25% of his expected body weight. Both of his eyes were closed from the flu, one of them had a really bad ulcer on it, and he was struggling to breathe.  Beattie has had four different types of antibiotics in the four months that we have been caring for him, along with medicated eye drops. His eyes have now cleared, and the ulcer has healed.  He is still on antibiotics and medicated nasal drops, his breathing is still laboured if he stops his antibiotics.  He is happy and settled other than his breathing which we need to get right before he can have his vaccinations.

Beattie when he first came to Taylors... Beattie now....
